The Twin Cities
Brochure
Two settlements straddle the Ildesian Strait. Wulfgardt lies on the southern peninsula, while Neue Ritterheim sits on the northern peninsula. Together they are referred to as the Twin Cities. The current consul is Ralf Valgard, who wants to turn the Twins into a commercial, industrial, and intellectual center. The primary inhabitants include the industrious Vessians and the adventurous Varan, although anyone is welcome to join this multicultural experiment. A slang term for the citizens is 'Twinsters'.
Currently the Twinsters are focused on collecting food via fishing, hunting, and foraging. Other Twinsters are busy collecting building materials. All goods are stockpiled in communal centers and distributed by Ralf Valgard and other officials.
Ralf has three primary goals. He wants to encourage the establishment of shops and businesses in the market; he wants to install March-Lords on the frontier; and he wants to establish trade with other settlements. All are welcome in the Twin Cities. To get involved, click on one of the links or speak to the GM on Discord.
Visit the Twin Cities - Newcomers may visit the Twins by arriving at the Census and Customs Office. This thread serves to establish your arrival at the settlement, and the officials there will answer any questions you have and direct you where you need to go.
Visit the Market - Raw goods flow into the settlement and are then fashioned into useable materials. Various craftsmen, artisans, and laborers sell their goods at market stalls and shops throughout the city, and local taverns provide rest and respite for shoppers and travelers alike.
- The Silver Serpent Canopy: Currently serving as the only tavern in the city. Laborers often visit the Canopy in the evening to eat and drink after a long day's work. Travelers and wanderers may find sleeping cots here to rest for the night. The Silver Serpent is the best place to meet the locals, learn about new opportunities, and find likeminded adventurers.
- UPCOMING: Haren's Apparel and Hattery
- The Guardian's New Home - The headquarters for Esau Fortney and the Hailed Guardians.
- UPCOMING: The Knights of the Black Cross Headquarters
Become a Lord of the Eastern March - The frontier lying to the east/northeast of the Twin Cities is referred to as the Eastern March. Ralf Valgard will provide building materials to those willing to establish estates, manors, fortresses, towers, outposts, and towns along the wilderness. As an important land owner you will become a Lord of the Eastern March. You will be granted autonomy and may manage your own affairs in the March. However, you may be called to defend the frontier against armies that the GM sends your way; some of these conflicts may involve an alliance of other March-Lords.
- Eskil's Estate, Bountiful Hollows - Territory belonging to Eskil Duska and his villagers.
- Cloud Tower - The future site of Cloud Tower, home to the Stormlords - also known as the Order of the Cloud. Kazimir is the supreme sorcerer of the order. The Stormlords harness the volatile and unpredictable power of lightning, as well as 'storm magic' - including wind, rain, thunder, and more. The Order of the Cloud is seeking new members to train and help them study.
