Asa's first thought was "She won't fall for this again." But than he thought I might work as she would probably expect something else, this was his mistake.
When the woman ducked, Asa's left side was left open and he grunted as the spear got him, the spear had hit one of his cracked ribs from the encounter with the cow like beast but he did a pretty well job on pretending it didn't hurt him.
He took a moment than lifted the sword, slowly walking to the side. He stepped forward and instead of directly attacking he position the sword sideways trying to get the spear tip up and sliding the spear on the sword to get closer and attack.

Jun of the Celadine
Dedicated
Roleplay posts: 305
Age: 33
Appearance: Jun stands at about 5’ 4”, with a willowy, slightly rectangular build. Her tawny olive skin has lost its flush from constantly wearing cloth armor, and she is dotted with small scars, including wrinkled patches of old burns on her left arm. She has deep brown, slightly hooded eyes and not quite straight dark auburn hair. Her face is still youthful and strong, though her gaze suggests she’s seen way too much for her age.
Equipment: An emerald, muddy long coat-style gambeson. A chrome blue longsword with a rusty hilt. Rusted shackles on her wrists ending in broken chains, giving a false impression that she had been a prisoner; the bracelets are easily removed.
Skills and Abilities: What remains of Jun’s power is a mix of animal friendship and elemental control. She can communicate with and control weaker animals, like insects, and request the help of larger, sentient animals (though they are not compelled to obey her). She can perform subtle manipulations of fire, water, earth, wind, and other “elements” like light and shadow. Her most unique ability is to imbue elemental magic into other life forms and channel her spells through them.
She is a decent cook and survivalist and has a solid academic understanding of agriculture and ecology. She is also a decent sword and hand-to-hand fighter.
Biography: Jun of the Celadine was a stereotypical hero of legend. She was one of Isra's mightiest spellcasters, had gone on dozens of adventures, possessed several powerful artifacts, and helped bring peace to the world on many occasions.
A notorious overachiever and workaholic, Jun had driven herself to near madness pursuing powerful magic. In standard fashion, it was the power of friendship that kept her sane.
Now Jun must cope with the fact that much of the world she helped protect has been lost, and that most of the magic power she had accrued over the years has stopped working.
Her family (whose whereabouts are unknown) was a clan of farmers and gardeners. Her tribe lived in peace and harmony in a mostly forested region. Every two hundred years or so, their people produced a powerful mage and master of all elements. Jun was not this chosen one, but rather her grandmother was. Still, Jun's (somewhat unhealthy) obsession with keeping up with her ancestor made her a pretty close second.
Jun has no regrets about her journey, though she sometimes wishes she had spent more learning other skills, like cooking and dancing. She also feels she made a poor lover, though it's likely her old partners passed away in the floodwaters anyways...

Jun winced slightly. Something didn't feel right about that last poke, though she couldn't put her finger on it. "Sorry."
Asadrack's move was a lot something she had tried earlier. Asadrack had countered by throwing the spear and hitting her in the ribs. She tried to do the same, but of course the spear missed by a mile, leaving her disarmed.
She chuckled as she winced. He got her pretty good on the solar plexus; fortunately, her cloth armor absorbed most of the blow.
Now that Asadrack was using the sword more correctly, Jun thought she'd try something that worked against her. She used the spear's leverage. She seemed to want to go for the thigh, but at the last split second shifted the tip up to the chest.

"I'm okay," Asa told Jun, he had told that line so many times during his life that most believed him once he said those words.
After the spear hit the ground and the round was over Asa grabbed the spear and gave it to Jun.
The man wasn't prepared to have one of his tricks turned against him and as he tried to deflect the spear he got hit on the ribs again, this time there was no pretending as the sword fell on to the sand, Asa took a step back and fell to his knees grunting.
"I'm... Okay," he said, as his ribs were hurting like hell, he held his side as a sharp pain hit him, nothing was broken but the pain was bad enough that one might think that something did.

"Aww damn it." Jun suddenly remembered the moss auroch.
She dropped her spear and rushed over to Asadrack. At first, guilt welled up in her, but then, strangely, she felt a slight tint of anger. She put her hands on her hips.
"You didn't let Tana heal you." She wanted to waggle her finger over him and scold like a child, but she figured the spear stab was punishment enough. Her hands padded around him but didn't quite touch him, as he were covered in a ball of cotton. After a few seconds of sympathetic winces and more pawing the air, she decided to just try to heal him.
It was the same gesture as with Uma. She laid hands on him, and little thin threads of silvery healing magic poured out of her finger tips and into him. He might feel a slight pain relief, but not much.
I knew I should have kidnapped that innocent peregrine fox from its loving home and family!
"Come on, work damn it." The little silvery strands were doing their job, but at a snail's pace. "You know, funny story, I once fixed a broken fence with this technique. One of my friends was a kobold and he was trying to learn the technique with me. His fence exploded. Or wait, maybe mine exploded. I don't really remember. Don't worry you're not gonna explode... I don't think."
Ugh, if only I had help like last time.
The sand beneath Asadrack's feet stirred slightly. Jun blinked.
The surface of the sand erupted, and out crawled a small crab. The little beige beast skittered its way up Asadrack's leg and back. Once it had found a steady foothold in the folds of his clothing, it poked at the base of his ribs. The little dent it made in his cloth glowed slightly, a little golden pulse. Jun blinked again and almost didn't notice a second crab crawl up on the other side of Asadrack's body. After about three minutes Asadrack was covered in pokey medic hermit crabs.
"You know what, fuck it. GO DENIZENS OF THE TIDE! THE GIANT PRIMATE NEEDS YOU!"
Five minutes later Asadrack was surrounded by clams, sand dollars, small crabs, a giant coconut crab, and numerous tiny shrimp-looking things which could jump. There was also a sea gull sitting on his head, pecking at his hair. Asadrack's body was being lit up with what looked like patches of concentrated sunlight. They were coming from all directions, as if he had become a living hairy Christmas tree.
In another minute, Asadrack was completely healed. He would also reek of sea animals.

"Of course ! Uma was the priority," the man said, after some time he noticed the crab, normally he would take it and place it on the sand but after what happened with the fox he knew this was connected to Jun's healing abilities, what he didn't know was how many animals would answer Jun's call.
Asa was certainly confused by all of this, he could feel many legs on him and than a seagull landed on him.
Soon the pain was gone and his ribs were back to normal, and as the animals began going back to their homes one of them left a present in the form of a poop on his head "You motherfff..." He sighed "I guess i deserved this for sparing while wounded, huh, well, that was interesting, to say the least, thank you, I'll repay this somehow in the future."
Asa went to the water and washed his hair, "Jun, please don't let Tana know I almost got myself injured because of my own dumb mistakes, i rather face a moss auroch by myself than face a mad Tana." He chuckled.

Jun snorted. "I swear I didn't make the seagull do that."
It might have been the same seagull she had met before. Cheeky devil.
"You can repay me with more spear lessons in the future."
Jun would continue to spar as long as Asadrack wanted. When he left to talk to Elder Moir, she'd continue to practice with her magic, perhaps well into the night...
