Through the forest is the sound of a bubbling brook, foamy white with rapids over and and stone. The water is cool and refreshing if one were to stop and take a drink. Many local fauna drink from the waters.

As morning came Asadrack was getting ready, he made sure his spear was still sharp and the head wasn't loose, he made sure to grab a knife in the case of him losing bathe spear.
The man was supposed to hunt with Uma, he had heard about her but not much, he double checked his spear, made sure he had everything he needed, kissed Tana goodbye and left.
He wou see Magda as soon as he left the tent, "I'm assuming you're Magda, i'm Asadrack, we'll be working together today."
Once the two of them started heading inside the forest he noticed Jun, she was training, he had seen her around for a few days now and she seemed capable, he looked at Magda and said "Should we bring her ? She seems capable, plus, three people can bring more food back."
Assuming Magda had nothing against bringing Jun with the he called ou for her "You, the one training by yourself, wanna go hunting ? If you want to grab some stuff before leaving we can wait for a bit," he said. Once she approached he introduced himself "hello, my name is Asadrack, it's nice to meet you." He was smiling, as usual.

Jun of the Celadine
Dedicated
Roleplay posts: 305
Age: 33
Appearance: Jun stands at about 5’ 4”, with a willowy, slightly rectangular build. Her tawny olive skin has lost its flush from constantly wearing cloth armor, and she is dotted with small scars, including wrinkled patches of old burns on her left arm. She has deep brown, slightly hooded eyes and not quite straight dark auburn hair. Her face is still youthful and strong, though her gaze suggests she’s seen way too much for her age.
Equipment: An emerald, muddy long coat-style gambeson. A chrome blue longsword with a rusty hilt. Rusted shackles on her wrists ending in broken chains, giving a false impression that she had been a prisoner; the bracelets are easily removed.
Skills and Abilities: What remains of Jun’s power is a mix of animal friendship and elemental control. She can communicate with and control weaker animals, like insects, and request the help of larger, sentient animals (though they are not compelled to obey her). She can perform subtle manipulations of fire, water, earth, wind, and other “elements” like light and shadow. Her most unique ability is to imbue elemental magic into other life forms and channel her spells through them.
She is a decent cook and survivalist and has a solid academic understanding of agriculture and ecology. She is also a decent sword and hand-to-hand fighter.
Biography: Jun of the Celadine was a stereotypical hero of legend. She was one of Isra's mightiest spellcasters, had gone on dozens of adventures, possessed several powerful artifacts, and helped bring peace to the world on many occasions.
A notorious overachiever and workaholic, Jun had driven herself to near madness pursuing powerful magic. In standard fashion, it was the power of friendship that kept her sane.
Now Jun must cope with the fact that much of the world she helped protect has been lost, and that most of the magic power she had accrued over the years has stopped working.
Her family (whose whereabouts are unknown) was a clan of farmers and gardeners. Her tribe lived in peace and harmony in a mostly forested region. Every two hundred years or so, their people produced a powerful mage and master of all elements. Jun was not this chosen one, but rather her grandmother was. Still, Jun's (somewhat unhealthy) obsession with keeping up with her ancestor made her a pretty close second.
Jun has no regrets about her journey, though she sometimes wishes she had spent more learning other skills, like cooking and dancing. She also feels she made a poor lover, though it's likely her old partners passed away in the floodwaters anyways...

There was a loud smack as, this time, she caught the stone in her palm before it hit her nether regions. A ghostly green reflection of the stone flickered off where the stone had been caught, signifying a dismissal of the minuscule bit of earth magic she could muster. I'm definitely getting better.(Spinning the bolas around her had gone extremely poorly the first time.) Jun quickly wrapped up the strings and hooked the bolas on her belt. As she did this, she turned to Asadrack and grinned. "Hello!" She bowed slightly. Oh crap it's Tana's lover. I better not make a fool out of myself. She had her green gambeson and longsword on her, as she wanted to practice her new skill while bearing a bit of weight. But she hadn't really been expecting to be invited out so soon. It caught her off guard, but on the other hand, she had been anxious to make herself useful to the Usquean people ever since they saved her from dehydration. "Yes, of course I'll come! Absolutely. My name is Jun, of the Celadine... Clan." She hesitated to speak the full name as she wasn't sure if she even had a clan anymore. "Umm, I can grab some rations from my tent. Maybe some extra rope, some tinder. It's... it's been a while since I've been hunting." If allowed, the nervous woman would quickly jog over to her tent to grab some extra things to be useful.

Uma was usually one to fish using her spear, but she liked to change it up to hunt every now and then. She was a silent presence with Asa and Jun soon enough, and she kept to here as she sharpened the point of the spearhead. There wasn't much for her to say or do, though she did eye Asa in a way that would leave him wondering if she was picking him apart for the sake of Tana.

Asa nodded "Yeah go ahead Jun there's no rush, we'll be waiting right here," he said, took a deep breath, looked at Uma "It's nice to be hunting for a chance, right ?" Asadrack noticed the way she looked at him and decided to give a smile in return.
Once Jun had returned, Asa looked at her "Are you ready ? Let's go." He looked around, and decided to go towards the east side of Trinity island.

Jun trotted back with an extra nap sack with some extra supplies. "Ok, I'm back."
From how she read the two, Asadrack was the friendly one. The woman she wasn't so sure about. Perhaps a compliment to break the ice?
"Your spear looks lethal." She paused awkwardly as she tried to think of more ways of complimenting a stick.
None came to mind. So she turned back to Asadrack. "I'm ready. Let's do this." She quickly gave Uma a friendly smile and went in the same direction as Asadrack.

Uma nodded lightly. She was indifferent to both parties talking to her after her encounter with the rude dwarf. She sniffed a little and said politely, "Thank you?" when her spear was complimented. There was no animosity in her eyes, only a studious gaze. "I think we should wrangle up some of these animals to raise if we can. Milk would be a blessing. I miss cheese," she chuckled. Then she glanced to Asa pointedly, "And if rumors are true, finding a goat would definitely be a blessing."
Everybody was talking about Tana's possible pregnancy. Moir was a loose-lipped old woman. Tana had even confided in Moir that she might be, but not to tell Asa yet. But everyone else knew. Because busy bodies existed. She snorted.

After a few moments he would say "So, I don't know much about you guys, do you guys mind telling a bit about yourselves ? I'll do the same after."

Jun had been mostly left out of the gossip circle, as she spent her first few days recovering from the ocean and the last trying to regain some strength. However, she did find herself wondering what their children would look like. Her mind danced from guesstimations based on facial structure and skin tone to picturing little bearded gnomes with healing powers.
"About ourselves. Well..." Jun hesitated to say she was once one of Isra's most powerful guardians. Any privilege she had back in the old world meant nothing here.
"I was born into a clan that mostly farmed and gardened. We were part of a larger tribe that worked to live in harmony with the land. I also studied a bit of magic and some martial skills. I traveled a lot, and I met a lot of people, including the people of the Usque. I also spent time in a big city. I was... a city guard."
She wasn't wrong. She did guard the city... occasionally from giant monsters.
She had no idea how many people actually knew of her old accomplishments. But to anyone that did, it would be obvious she was trying to downplay them.

"Woah."
Jun had seen a lot of strange creatures. But she'd never seen them glued together quite so... elegantly.
"Wait, don't attack it yet," Jun whispered to the others.
She crouched lower to get on a more equal footing with the beast. And then she extended a hand down near the ground, palm up, as one might do to a friend's pet dog one's never met. This was to give it a chance to take her scent without being so foolish as to try to pet it.
This might seem a naive move even if Jun appeared to know what she was doing. But there was more going on than meets the eye. Invisible waves of power flowed from Jun's mind into the creature.
Help us find food. We can catch bigger things than you and we will give you a big share!
This was the gist of her telepathic message. Whether or not she succeeded would depend on several factors. If the creature was intelligent and social, it might see the value of her offer. If it was too intelligent however, it might reject her offer out of mistrust or spite. Its mind might simply be too alien to communicate with. And of course, there was always the matter of lady luck. Jun might simply have made a mistake when extending her will, or not eaten enough vegetables the last few days.

The fox-bird accepted the scent of Jun's hand, then gave it a sniff and opened its mouth in a foxy grin. Then it sat back and waited, lifting a front paw and continuing to sniff at the air. With a pounce on the ground, it gave another sound a fox would make and padded proudly over to what looked to be a nice sized patch of some sort of berry! The small creature took a mouthful of the stuff, which meant the berries were not toxic.
Uma blinked and said, "We could plant some of these! Look at them, there are so many of them!" She ate one and found it to be sweet and perfectly tart, almost like a tart cherry strawberry combo.

Asa almost raised his spear but when Jun told them not to hunt the fox like creature he stopped and watch, as Jun apparently tried to befriend the creature, after a few moments it seemed that it worked.
He looked at the berries after the animal ate some and tried a berry himself, "these taste good," he said, "How did you befriend the creature Jun ?"

I spent several months training to commune with the elements within the hidden forest realm of a great and powerful dragon god who founded the land of our people millennia ago. At one point I almost exploded and-
"Oh umm, it's... just something I picked up on my travels."
Jun was a woman of her word. Although she couldn't exactly help the fox creature bring down bigger berries, she could offer it a small nibble of her jerky ration as thanks for finding such a treasure for them, which she carefully pulled out from her pouch and offered on the ground just in front of it.
