Not all of these pines are familiar, but they are decidedly all pines. This forest is filled with them, and they're quite tall, and they're quite old. Time has done what it could to wear down these stalwart giants, but few have keeled over to its ruthless assault, leaving the forest dark for their numbers.

The treeline was dense, creating a wall of vegetation at some points but they quickly found a way into the towering pine trees, Freyr marked one with his axe and as they went deeper into the forest he would mark more so they wouldn't get lost.
"Why not bringing Baggi ? He's more knowledgeable about trees than me boss." Asked Fengr
"I wanted him to have some time with his wife, they are having some troubles," Freyr answered
"They seem to love eachother, I can't see those two having troubles in their marriage."
"They do."
"So what's the trouble ?"
"I'm sorry Fengr but it's private matters, I only know because we grew together."
The light had difficulty penetrating the trees making the forest very dim even during the day, a few rays would brake through the foliage, one of each made something shine, Freyr noticed, it was a small coin with their village emblem on it

"this is impossible. Freyr passed the coin to Fengr, "we were the only one ship that left Ira, how did this ended here ?"
"It seems that the coin wasn't the only thing that ended here," said Fengr pointing to footsteps on the ground
Freyr examined them "whoever came through here is either drunk or very hurt, se how the tracks are going all the same direction but they don't go straight."
The two man followed the tracks to find a large lake, the trees came very close to the edge of the water and some of the roots could be seen coming out of the ground into the lake, they found water but also something else
A man wearing their village guard's equipment, he walked slowly away from them, his body was leaning to his right and weaved to both sides as he walked. The equipment and clothes were bloodied and he had a paddle on his hands

Freyr called the man who looked at them, his eyes were grey and as he turned they saw that his belly was cut open and his intestines hanged out, they knew what it was now, a Draugr
Fengr recognised the man as one he had wounded during the battle, the paddle suggested that he survived and manage to get on a boat before dying out at sea
"Feeeeeeennngrrr," the Draugr spoke, his voice was raspy and his stench was fowl, he had recognised Fengr and was now walking in their direction, he moved faster with each step till he eventually started running
Freyr also moved in its direction, once near eachother the Draugr would attack first, Freyr rolled below the paddle, he would then strike the back of the Draugr knee cutting it's legs and sending it to the ground before he cutted the thing's head
"We have to tell everyone what happened, burn this guy and come back for the water so we should get going" Freyr said before both went back the way they came carrying the Draugr's corpse

Appearance: Lucrezia is as fair and fine as any porcelain doll, with her long flaxen hair and painted features. Below the neck, however, is a much different story. Made from the finest metals, forged by the most skillful smiths, woven by the adept hands of an artificer, is a body made of armor. It was put together to seem as slender as any young lady's limbs with the toughness of plate and mail. Though no flesh is interwoven in the design, draping skirts and a cape were added to give her a more approachable, more feminine silhouette. Her eyes are a bright blue and swirl with an ethereal light.

Equipment: Elmar, her ornate war scythe, is a living weapon with two cores, much like herself. He is a fallen warrior with a rigorous amount of life and after-death experience. When held, Elmar can make adjustments to the wielder's body to help them learn how to wield him.
A knife is set into her hip on a scabbard attached to her body in case someone gets too close for the scythe to become useful.

Skills and Abilities: Lucrezia is new to the world and thus has little to no skills of her own. Thankfully, she is equipped with a hardy body and the ability to be dismantled completely without dying. The secret to her life lies in her two magical cores which harbor the parts of her soul. Should those be destroyed, so too would Lucrezia die.

On the path back to the camp, something landed there that had not been present before. On the ground, there was a gauntlet. It shone like new and was far smaller than any of the men's hands. In fact, the fingers were so slender, it was doubtful anyone could fit into them at all. In the case that any one of the men were to grab it, they would find the gauntlet grabbing back.
A vision would project upon the trail as though it were real. The corner of a house and a bed with two people laying on it was shown. One, a woman with short white hair in her forties. The other, a man her opposite, hair dark and long. Between them, a baby cooed and squirmed around, as they often did.
"What will be her name?" asked the woman. "I believe it's your turn. But no R names!"
The man laughed, then answered "Lucrezia."
The vision faded, and when it did, the index finger of the gauntlet pointed deeper into the woods.

There were three people heading for the forest, Astrid, her husband Bigga and Fengr, the blacksmith, and the were talking about the Draugr
"Freyr believes that he survived the wound I gave him during the battle and scaped to a boat before dying at sea and reaching this island as a Draugr, poor bastard, and the reason it's the paddle he was holding." Said Fengr
"Well, it's dead now, hopefully he is the last one," Astrid said walking in front of them as she was the only one holding a weapon on her hands
"Yeah," agreed Baggi ,"we should focus on the ..."
Baggi almost let go of the barrel as a reflection of light hit his eyes and hi flinched
"That wasn't there before," Fengr said pointing to the gantlet
Astrid got closer to it, "it looks like a Gantlet," she said as she picked it up and the thing show them the visions and pointed to the forest
The group looked at eachother, they were confused in the beginning but the became curious and the gantlet pointed bro the trees, they looked at eachother again
"I say we go wherever it's pointing," said Astrid and her husband agreed
"I guess my opinion doesn't matter than," said fengr "pick the thing up and let's see what could possibly go wrong,"
"Don't be pessimistic Fengr, this could be something that will benefit us," said Baggi as his wife picked the gantlet
"Well, I suppose you're right, let's go."

The flexible wrist of the glove would turn as the group walked. It led them through gnarled branches and knotted roots, thorny brush, and muddy ground. Here, there was no path to guide them or make the journey easy. The grounds looked as though they had not been tread upon in decades. It was overgrown and dark, filled with the rich smells of old growth. Any trees that fell over were overwhelmed with fungus and insects of all kinds. Saplings that were laying dormant sprung up at the faintest hint of sunlight.
Somewhere in the ancient forest, the finger pointed to the high nook of a tree, three people tall at least. Way up there lay something that shone as bright as the gauntlet, glimmering with attention.

The three people followed the gantlet, just like last time they would mark the way they went by hitting an axe to the side of it, they took the barrel with them through the woods for they would also bring water but it was even more useful when the gantlet pointed up, the layed the barrel upside down and Baggi climbed it, Astrid climbed Baggi and used her spear to make whatever was stuck in the tree fell, Fengr made sure the barrel wouldn't tilt making the other two fall
After grabbing the object they looked at it then they waited to see what else the gantlet would do

The object was a polished vambrace. It was as thin as the gauntlet, but not flimsy. The middle was layered with chain mail and a spoke of iron. The wrist had something of a ball at the end. The gauntlet had a spherical, concave socket and a clasping mechanism at the side. These details were not immediately present to the group, however, as another vision presented itself to them.
This time, the woman from before was wailing over a tiny casket. Three others stood behind her: her husband with the dark hair, and two young men with heads as flaxen as her own. Grief painted over their faces in deep crevices. Again and again, the woman cried, "Lucrezia!"
When the vision fell away, the finger pointed southward, toward the river.

The group looked at each other after the second vision, they stared at eachother until Fengr broke the silence
"What in the nine realms is going on ? Why are we getting these visions ?"
"I don't know," Baggi replied grabbing the second part "I think it's trying to gather the rest of it self."
Astrid stood still, that was definitely a child size casket, she remembered telling her husband about losing her own before they were born in their time on the ocean "we started this, I say we end it," she spoke love, can you please let Freyr know what's happening ?"
The man nodded and went in the direction of the camp while the other two kept following the hand

Deeper in the woods, less and less light penetrated to the forest floor, leaving a still cold in the air. The rush of the river filled their ears, preceded by a slippery, muddy bank that retained all the rain from the previous week. So far in, strange creatures began to appear, some familiar, most strange. Something that wasn't a bird, but wasn't a lizard flew overhead, no larger than a macaw and twice as green. When it chirped, it screamed. A flare of feathers stood up from its long neck, and from two beady eyes extended a fleshy beak. A wispy tree with weeping branches sported leaves that were silvery-blue on their underside and a vivid green on top. Within it, several dozen of these bird-dragons hopped around and cawed, then flew from the tree over the river.
The gauntlet pointed right into the place where the creatures were flying over. The closer they got to the bank, the easier they would see it: another glimmering piece of the puzzle. It was right in the middle of the river, and deep. Because of the rainfall, the waters were swollen and fast.

The duo ducked and hid from the creatures, carefully placing the barrel down, they moved as close they could without alerting the creatures
Fengr whispered, "you see it ?"
"Yeah !" Astrid replied "how are going to get it ?"
Fengr grunted, he didn't had his hammer, their only weapon right now was Astrid's spear and a dagger "give me the dagger, I'll distract as many as I can for as long as I can," said the man
"isn't the spear better ?" she said handing him the spear
"no, you will have to use them t so that the river don't take you away, give me the shield too, late don't want to die to a piece for a sentient pice of metal, also, donn't drop any of the pieces and meet me at camp."
Fengr grabbed the shield and ran screaming at the animals, he tried to make sure to divert the attention from the place Astrid would ran to, he waited till as many as the creatures tried to chase after him and ran to the opposite direction than camp
Astrid would sneakily walked in the direction of the objective, if there were few creatures left she would make as little sound as possible to grab the object, if noticed she would dash for it than run, if not, she would grab it and go away before being noticed, in both situations she would try to pierce the ground with the spear so she had something to hold to but the sound of her doing so made the possibility of sneaking harder

The bulk of the birdlizards followed Fengr as he ran off into the woods, back to the camp. The glint of the shield attracted them, just as the shine in the water had. None came too close, save for a few who swooped down and skidded off the shield's surface.
Astrid would find the waters difficult to traverse with its strong current. At one point, she would even feel something slithering over her ankles. The white water disguised whatever it was below, whether it was seagrass or something a little more alive and kicking. The spear helped keep her leverage until she came to the shining piece, and though the current threatened to tug it from her grip, it kept. Once out of the water, she would find a spiked couter in her hands. It matched the rest of the armor they had found thus far, all except for the little grooves and designs etched deep into it.

Fengr wasn't the fastest, but he was very agile, his plan was to go the long way to the outside of the forest, trying to loose the creatures among he trees and dense vegetation, if he managed to break line of sight he would try to hide, if that didn't happen he would keep going until he got out of the trees
Astrid kept calm as she felt something between her legs in the river and, although she struggled a bit, the woman succeed and the plan had worked, after that she made a went the direct way out of the forest, "Freyr should see this before we continue," she thought and, once out of the forest, The woman would make her way as fast as she could to camp to get help and come back

The birds continued to assail Fengr until he made it to the cover of the woods, where the trees were too thick to fly and swoop around. They did caw after him angrily from the canopy but were reluctant to go any further. It made sense, for if Fengr were to glance upward as he ran, he would spot the tangle of glistening spiderwebs above. They were not simply the mass of several hundred little spiderwebs woven together, but the thick strands of something gargantuan and distasteful. Nothing crawled out of the dark woods just yet, but every now and again the threads would vibrate...
