Tanneth would turn his head towards the river, facing the opposite direction. It didn't take long for Red to hunt down the large rodent and bring it back. He could here the whip of her bow as she fired the arrow, and the deadening thunk at the arrow hit its target. Tanneth turned around, when she began to talk and nodded in agreement, "In that case, we can make camp along the rocky outcroppings near here."
Tanneth took the vine they had used earlier and tied it between two trees. He walked over to Red and held out his hand, "May I have your dress? I can get things set up here. I should still have the flint in my bag. If you wanted to get any firewood, we can then set up camp here and your dress can hang to dry."

Appearance: Red hair, blue eyes and a big fluffy red tail, standing at 149 cm tall
Equipment: A ornate quiver with a red fox carved into it, a longbow and three small knives hiding behind the quiver
Skills and Abilities: An amazing shot with a bow and arrow, Red is also very nimble and fast and a really good climber, stealth
Biography: It was the dead of night, Red was sitting outside of a cave, inside more of her kind were sleeping, the dawn was coming and they would often hunt during the night, Red was still very young and knew nothing of the outside world
As she looked up to the sky she heard a weird noise coming from the trees ahead, she quickly went inside in a attempt to hide. She was curious, what could've been that noise ? Where did it came from ?
She dipped her head out the cave, looked around, her ears shifted as she was trying her best to hear any other noises, she heard a animal squeal, maybe a rabbit ?
She followed the sound to find a small rabbit stucked on a trap, almost dead, she circled the animal on all fours, sniffing it and the trap, she stopped, and tried messing with the trap, maybe she could open it and have a free rabbit for herself
The rabbit had stopped moving but Red wasn't even close to open the trap, that's when she heard the sound of a stick breaking, she turned her head and her eyes met with the eyes of a human, she froze for a second, he had a bow in one shoulder and an axe in the other.
She looked at him with her eyes wide open, that was her first time seeing a human, the man stepped forward, she stopped back
"It's okay, said the man, I'm not going to hurt you," said the man, stepping forward one more time
She was curious about the man but also cautious, the man slowly put his items on the ground and said "are you lost ?"
At first he didn't notice the tail or the ears, walking one more step forward and with the light slowly getting more brighter with a new day coming he realised she wasn't a human child but a vulx
"Are you..." Before he could complete his words Red took off running, the man stopped for a second, thought to himself, then quickly picked up his stuff and chased the girl
"Hey, wait, don't go that way, it's dangerous," he shouted as he ran after her
Red was running in a completely different direction than the cave she was outside of, she was fast, and the man couldn't keep up, but she fell as the same time as a clanking sound could been heard, with no clue to what just happened she looked ate her leg
She had been caught in a trap much similar to the one with the rabbit, the trap had metal bits that would quickly snap together much like a bear trap but it was smaller, although it didn't broke any of her bones, the trap still hurt a lot and she let out a sharp cry of pain
The man found her quickly, he approached her saying in a gentle voice "it's okay little one, i'm going to help you okay"
As he reached for the trap, Red scratched the man's arm, in response he tried to calm her down, and slowly reached for the trap again
"I can get you out of there, I'm going to help you" he said pressing on a small lever on the side of the trap and pulling it open
She quickly tried to get away but couldn't , the man slowly approached her speaking in a calm voice "if you let me carry you, I'll bring you to my cabin and I will heal you." He patted her on the head and them took her with him, once on the cabin he took a look at her ankle "you won be able to move for a while, but i'll take care of you." He pointed at himself "Anderson." He did that a couple of times then pointed at her but she didn't knew how to talk "well, i'll just call you Red then"
For the next few weeks he would treat her, feed her and make sure she was worm. Her, in the other hand seemed to mimick him and was learning fast but still wasn't able to talk.
Everything stayed the same for a while, there wasn't much for her to do but Anderson tried his best to teach her words and even showed her his books but with no success, he told her stories and shared his experiences, but after some time she was healed and he decided to take her back
Anderson was visibly upset about that, it was he's dream to have a family but wasn't able to have kids but the forest was her home. He took her to the spot where she found her, this time she came walking on both feet
"As promised, now that you're better I brought you home," he said
"N n n no" she said
"You can speak ?" He's eyes shot open
She pointed at herself and continued "o o o out a sider."
Although she was born with the others, she never felt like she belonged, there was some much to be learned and she had grown attached to the man

"thank you," Red said giving the man his dress and putting the animal in the ground, went to find the sticks and any dry leaves, she also found an abandoned bird nest by following the smell of spoil eggs.
Once she arrived she gave the sticks for Tanneth, there was enough wood for a while and the bird's nest would help start the fire, she asked for Tanneth's knife again and assuming he had given her she started skinning the animal and prepared the animal to cook it

Tanneth hung her dress on the vine as well anything else that was soaked. He made sure each item was as straight and as evenly placed as they could be. After that he would dig a firepit and circle with stones. He set his knife on one of the larger stones of the firepit after he finished.
Tanneth would then gather loose moss and grasses, making one large, even pile of them. He was starting the pile when Red would have come back with the sticks, and if she asked him, he would simply say "I don't want to sleep on said again tonight."
After some time he created a pile large enough for the two of them...if Red wanted to sleep by him tonight, otherwise he could separate the piles and add some more to make them slightly comfier.

Red asked about what he was doing and found the answer to be satisfied, "thank you for making space enough for both of us, I'll definitely use it although I won't be able to sleep too much during the night.
She walked up to the river, washed Tanneth's knife and her hands, she also drank a bit of water and sniffed the air again just to confirm if the were safe.
Red walked up to Tanneth gave the knife back to him "you light the fire and I'll cook the food okay Hun." She looked down as she said that, her cheeks red, "i say we keep the leather, I'm sure we'll eventually need warmer clothes, what do you think ?"

Tanneth nodded. He paused for a moment and cheekily said, "Guess that makes two of us. I'm good for an afternoon nap, if we don't get any sleep."
Tanneth smiled and began lighting it, being called 'Hun' by Red made him blush and made him rather happy. He agreed to keeping the leather and said, "We can sew them together to make a blanket and a sheet for the makeshift bed."
He paused and suggested, "Say if we had enough hides, do you think we could wrap any smoked meat enough to hide its scent?"

"I'll, most likely, have to take one of those," Red said. While Tanneth lit the fire, Red picked one of her arrows and pierced through the animal, she was planning to use it to hang the meat using some more sticks to prop it in place
She put the animal aside and propped the sticks, burying one end in the dirt "it would be lovely to have those but we would need needle and thread," she said
Once the fire was lit she wait a bit for it to settle so the meat wouldn't burn "I don't think that would be enough Hun, their noses are as good as mine if not better." She approached Tanneth, she put her hand in his chest
"What you said earlier. Did you mean it ? "

Tanneth commented on the needle and thread, "I can sharpen the bones into needles and I grew up on a farm, just find some flax and we can make yarn. I miss the old farm, so many useful tools."
He nodded concerning her statement on wrapping the meat to hide the scent. He sat down and the faced the fire, thinking of perhaps other solutions they might be able to use. He watched as Red approached him, placing her hand on his chest. She asked him if he was serious about what he said earlier. Tanneth's mind spun, he said a lot of things earlier, when earlier? How earlier? He pinched himself to snap out of the thought train and remembered his cheeky comment. "Yes, I meant it, but if you don't want to, then won't."
His cheeks became red from how close she was. Tanneth wrapped his arms around her and said, "Red... I love you, but love only works when it's a reciprocated. If you don't feel the same way I do, then we'll stay as friends and as companions, but if you feel the same and want to explore that with me, then we can. Love is a lot like water, it fills the form of whatever relationship you put it in."

Red heard his words, felt his warmth, she could feel his heartbeat on the palm of her hand, she pulled away, her heart racing, "we take this slow, this is the first time I felt such feelings, that's my only condition."
She picked the food and put it over the fire, she crouched in front of him making sure her tail wouldn't caught on fire "For now I'll give you this," she said leaning forward, giving him a small kiss on his lips before sitting between Tanneth legs and pulled his arms to hug her as she waited to turn the meat.

Tanneth looked her in the eyes and simply smiled, fast? slow? The grass grew when it grew was the first thought that came to his mind. He would simply need to let his love fill the form that this relationship was taking, and if that was one step at a time, then that was one step at a time. Tanneth confirmed her condition, "Then I am proud to be your first love and you know me well enough. Sometimes, I make the wrong decisions, so I hope you'll help me with that."
Tanneth hugged her, and rested his head on one of her shoulders. He simply stayed there and adjusted himself when needed, so she could cook. Tanneth had a slight smile as a hugged her and you could tell by his poet's eyes the poem was forming itself. The name To Adventure fit perfectly and he had hoped that Red would enjoy it. Seeing her happy was one of the best feeling in this world.

Age: 19

Red would turn the animal so it would cooked evenly for the next few minutes, every time she would sit down between Tanneth's legs
"It'll be done soon," she said "hmmm." Tanneth would feel her fluffy tail move as she thought of ways to hide the smell of meat so they wouldn't need to hunt every day.

Tanneth had a thought and simply said, "Tell me to stop if this bothers you."
He began gently brushing Red's tail, removing any dirt or junk he found tangled in there. He would be extremely gentle as he untangled any small sticks or brush he found in it. Tanneth spoke, "The meat smells good. What do you think?"
He removed his hands from pruning her tail and hugged her once more, "What if we scented the hides with some horrible smelling? Just an idea I had."
If Red leaned against Tanneth's chest at any point, she would likely feel his heartbeat race. His body while fairly skinny, still had toned muscles from all his farm labor. It was clear by the callouses on his hands that he worked harsh conditions every day, but he still found a way to smile through all of that.

"thank you Hun," she said, "you didn't had to but I love that you did." Red smelled the air three times, two times she did it quickly and the third one was longer, her eyes closed and a half smile on her lips
"I think it's ready." She picked the meat and took a bite than offered it to Tanneth "The problem with that is..." she said with her mouth full, took a moment to chew the food and swallow it "is that my nose is sensitive too."
Red snuggled against Tanneth's chest, she heard his heart beat racing, she ran her hand through his chest, feeling his skin on her fingers, she thought for a second, her tail brushed gently on his leg then side gently before completing a circle "maybe some peppers, most animals avoid it because of the burn sensation but I don't mind, father liked spicy food and I built resistance to it."

Tanneth grabbed a bite, he chewed and swallowed, before he replied, "If we can find anything like peppers then we can use those. I do understand that it would be unpleasant for you to smell, which is why I want to dampen the scent as much as we can. If we can make the scent weaker, we should only need something stronger than that."
Tanneth wrapped his arms around Red as they snuggled, "I'll probably need just two bite-sized portions before I sleep. The rest is yours after that. When I wake up I'll see what I can do for us, I'll try to get us a small creature like this to eat, or identify any of the plants if I know them, that way we have a few more things to work with."
Tanneth took another bite, leaning his head back as he chewed and swallowed. He passed the rest to Red and tapped her shoulder. "I'll see you in the morning, and Red, I love you."
Tanneth would scoot and walk over to the makeshift bed, lying down on his back, eyes closed. He wasn't asleep but he soon would be.

Red nodded in agreement, "that would be great Hun, i'll help you as much as i can, also, if you find any poisonous plants, as long as nothing get in the meat, it should keep animals away without bothering my nose," she said
She picked the arrow with the food on it, Red looked down, her face turned red once she heard Tanneth's words, she quickly eat a few more bites, layed down, snuggling up to Tanneth, her heart racing "I... I love you too." The Vulx would lay there until Tanneth fell asleep, she gently hummed by his side

Tanneth would sleep for around six hours, before he woke up early that morning. Tanneth went to the river, stripping himself of his clothes and quickly bathing himself in the cold running water. After that he did what he could to dry himself off before putting back on his clothes. It occurred to him, that they could simply leave the smoked meat high enough to a tree wrapped in skins to protect it from most predators. Most animals would likely give up and search for easier prey instead of relying of their climbing ability. Tanneth also noted that the further down the mountain they went the more forested it became, this was a good thing. He might be able to find some sort of flax-like plant to make yarn and even rope from... if he remembered how.
Tanneth grew up on a farm, and lived alone with his dad at an early age. His dad showed him how to use all of the farm tools and how to make his own tools if the time deemed necessary. That man always said "you can't rely on trading for your tools!" Tanneth chucked to himself as he pictured his dad taking the flax and separating the fibers, he would then take the lower-quality and begin twirling them into yarn and from yarn, he would take a simple spindle made from a stick and further tightened the yarn, spinning it with quick and sure movements. Soon after a while he had something that resembled rope, that could be used on the farm. Their main crop was flax and wheat and they would rotate these crops when necessary.
Tanneth took his knife and broke one of the rib bones from the carcass of the woodchuck, whittling it down into a fine point. His goal was to make a simple needle, and if he found something like flax, he could perhaps make them a more suitable living situation. It took Tanneth around two hours but he finished his bone need and placed it into his small bag. After he was done, he took the animal's body far from there and left it for any predator that would sniff out the carcass, better leave it there then at their campsite.
Tanneth took a long way back to the campsite, investigating each plant that slightly resembled the flax of his homeland. He would bring a few samples, making mental notes of their flowers. He had perhaps twenty stalks chosen out, all slightly different from each other. He heard something behind him...
Grrrr...
Tanneth turned, eyes in shock, behind him was a wild dog-like creature. To him it greatly reminded him of the red wolves of his homeland. His eyes darted seeing three others further in the distance. Tanneth gripped his knife as the wolf jumped him. Tanneth was the last to react as the wolf bit into his shoulder. Tanneth desperately swung his knife blade into the back of the wolf's neck, breaking through bone in an instant. It let go falling down dead. Another wolf charged Tanneth and he jumped to the side, kicking its snout, the wolf barked with murderous intent as the other two began to circle Tanneth. Tanneth noted that his left arm felt limp and focused on which wolf would attack next. These were unlike the botanic wolves, he knew their behavior from both experience in his homeland and the stories from his friends on how they attacked.
Tanneth expected it but didn't react as fast as he wanted to. The third wolf lunged from behind and Tanneth booted it firmly in its neck. The wolf coughed as it picked itself from the ground. The other two circled before barking at the third wolf. They were beginning to coordinate. Two wolves lunged at either side and Tanneth plunged his knife into the chest of one of the wolves as he jumped to the side. He wasn't quick enough and other wolf bit into his leg. After stabbing the first wolf again in the neck, it jumped back and Tanneth focused on the wolf that locked onto his leg. The man cried out in pain and kicked vigorously at it. He bruised the wolf with his feet before lunging his knife into the skull of the wolf, two dead. Tanneth roared at the top of his lungs at the other wolves, acting if he could still fight them off. Perhaps this worked, for the other two bruised wolves retreated, not wanting to meet the same fate. Tanneth fell on his back, surrounded by the two dead bodies of the wolves he slew.
