Coatl, a little unsure how to react, clapped a couple of times as one usually does after a performer bows. He felt he got the gist of it, although it didn't make much subtle sense to him. The faint chromatic shimmering of the pitch black essence, against the amber glow of the fire, was kinda pretty. Coatl got the impression the kid was a bit of an artist.
Cuate observed the portrayal of symbiotic entities a little more closely, trying to actually grasp the nuances. A thing that refused to die, steadied by a mortal life that could survive with but air, water, and food. It was a paradox, that something so alien and powerful could also be powerless without a host. It was something Cuate understood well.
Not wanting Coatl to feel awkward, she clapped right after him, her claps making an odd fluffing sort of noise while giving off small embers.
Sometimes I wonder, if my determination to keep saving the day led me to this state. And then I wonder if I'm destined to become some bizarre, otherworldly alien buddy, shrouded in mystery, feared by the masses, the subject of whispers and rumors...
(This went on for a bit. "We should get Grandma something nice for helping us out one of these days," Coatl said thoughtfully to himself.)
... All because I was too stubborn to properly die. When she was done, she thought for a second and then held up her golden, ectoplasmic hands to her eyeless face.
Oh god I'm already there aren't I? She looked up at Keph and then cocked her head slightly. Do you guys have special meetings you go to? Maybe a support group? Do you trade spell recipes? Or baking recipes?
