One of the boys got the munchies.
Fisk had run out of deep truths to ponder. He had reached a sort of canine enlightenment in which he determined that everything that exists in life is hunger. The four feet hunger for food. The two feet also hunger for food. The six feet and the no feet hunger for food. The sea hungers for the beach. The forest hungers for water and the sky. The earth hungers for the dead. And perhaps, something out there, unknowable, hungers for life. Perhaps the stars.
There is no shame in hunger. There is no truth other than hunger. Fisk was at peace... and he smelled cheese and beef.
Mina joined Uma in laughter and almost didn't notice the approaching pants and crunching leaves which fell upon them.
Fisk was soon accompanied by Rakki, who after laughing at nothing for the longest time had finally realized that it really didn't take this long for women to pee. Truth is, he was a little worried, but his fears instantly melted away when he saw that Fisk was jumping up and down for joy at the other side of the tree, for there was cheese and meat to be had. He had gotten very good at reading Fisk's body language even while umm... distracted.
As he rounded the corner, he asked, "Do you two need help or, just planning to hoard snacks?" He was a bit torn between the uncomfortable feeling of intruding on girl time and that silly sensation you get when you catch children being bad in an utterly clever way.
Mina the Self-Taught Knight squealed and waved. "Hey! If we did have our pants down you'd be in big trouble!"
Mina mentally shook her head. Her Rakki impersonation was way off. I didn't even get his accent right!
