Age: 27 (Lexi's Age)
Appearance: 5'0, 100lbs, athletic build, short brown hair with green eyes. Her outfit is a green sleeveless shirt with a hood, green pants, leather gloves, and sandals. She wears fishnets underneath her regular clothing.
Equipment: A sharpened bone dagger fashioned out of a rib from an animal; some tripwire; a makeshift bola; a portable hand telescope, a flint & tinder kit; and pouch for miscellaneous things such as a fishing hook and line, healing poultice, and other survival items. She also carries a small flask for water and a crude means of filtering water with cheesecloth, and a coinpurse.
Skills and Abilities: She's extremely adept at stealth, sleight-of-hand, acrobatics, and sleuthing. She is an elite survivalist (which include things like herbalism, identifying dangerous plants and animals, etc.) and a professional infiltrator, tracker and messenger. She is capable of surveilling, tailing, and tracking almost anything. As such she is also extremely adept in camouflage, counter-tracking, and trapping.
She is also a skilled huntress and fisherwoman for small and medium game.
Although not a fighter by any means, she has practised combat skills and can defend herself with agility, acrobatics, and basic martial arts. She is capable of accurately hitting a target with thrown weapons like knives or ranged weapons like bows.
Biography: Born on an old colonial sailing ship, Lexi was brought into this world in less than ideal circumstances. Their journey was long and fraught with suffering - almost half of the crew had not survived the long and winding path through the ocean which had seen them driven into hostile waters thanks to poor information misunderstanding about the corridor they selected to use. Her father was the Captain of the ship and her mother his courtesan and the ship's quartermaster.
Lexi struggled as a newborn on the ship - it was an 11-month journey and they still had several months remaining. She became ill quite a few times and the ship's only nurse had died due to blunt force trauma because of the extremely turbulent waters.
Thankfully Lexi had survived along with her parents and the remaining crew. They were to be among pioneers in their new world.
Her adolescence was mostly hard work and toil with little in the way of fun. Being early colonists, they had to create the foundation for others and that meant bearing the brunt of the labour. Lexi, being a girl, was not allowed to join the local militia or hunting parties, but that did not stop her from trying to stick her business where it did not belong.
As much as she could, she would try and watch what everyone else was doing, especially when it came to the militia and colonial government. Any time a survey team or caravan were dispatched, she'd want to come along too by any means necessary - hiding in boxes, running along ditches, and whatever else it took. It often meant many nights sleeping in the rain, eating insects to get by, and trying to fix herself up after getting sick or injured.
Her parents took notice at how intrepid their daughter was and offered to teach her privately how to hunt and fish so she could at least help out the family and the elders in the colonial territory. Being a Captain also meant that her father wanted her to understand how to operate on a ship and how to swim, and her mother was sure to show her how to work with tools and weapons just in case they needed an extra hand on the ship or if they were ever boarded.
As she grew into her teenage years she would become an increasing source of ire from her parents and the local constabulary. Always getting into scraps, getting caught stealing (and trying again anyway to not get caught a second time). Finally, the regional governor made an ultimatum: be put to work and learn discipline as a civic duty and community service or be sent back to the homeland without her parents. The choice was clear.
At first, the governor thought she could be of use helping out in the apothecary as most girls her age would do. But she had a different idea; she had already mapped out the lay of the land because of her constant sneaking out at night, and her ability to get around quickly in any environment meant she was ideal for as a courier to other colonial territories, as well as being a messenger to hunting parties, military groups on patrol, and foreign traders. It also meant she was ideal for spying on the colony's enemies.
She had received informal training to hone her skills by the militia commander but was not able to receive a formal rank or pay for militia service, instead, being considered a government contractor due to her gender. Undaunted by this, she was happy to finally put her energy and talents to good use.
She would spent many years in this role proving herself time and time again as a valuable resource. As a token of gratitude for her and her parent's service to the royal family, her family would be granted a parcel of land about 135 acres and she would be given the title of Baronetess, with her father a Baron. But she cared not for titles, instead, only restricted her further as the governor now directly controlled her actions and she would be sent on more missions.
One day, fed up with being the colony's hound, and on a particularly windy night, Lexi stole a small fishing vessel and with some provisions -- but most importantly, she pilfered her family's greatest treasure, a mysterious pendant passed down to them for generations, something she was promised only when she was "ready" to use it. With her heirloom in tow, she sailed off into the night, never to be seen again and leaving behind only a note for her parents alone to read. Her destination: anywhere.
After months of sailing around, she found her new home in the Isles and it is here that she hoped to carve her own path and live only for herself and anything else that seemed exciting.

Name's Natascha,I'm new to this community having discovered it from Reddit and my character is Lexi who is a sleuthing brat that just wants to do things her own way. I'm a hobbyist writer by night where I run my own roleplaying community (won't advertise it here for obvious reasons) and a professional music producer, mixer, and keyboardist by day working under Death$ucker Records and independently. My music is featured in the videogames the Suffering and Tetris Ultimate. I've worked with mostly artists in the European and Canadian sphere, as Ken Ingwersen (of Ken's Dojo), Mochipet, she, Nitro Fun, DJ Dynamic, and the only Americans I've worked with being DJ S3rl and DJ Bl3nd - no, them having '3' in their name was not planned, lol. I've been roleplaying for a little more than 20 years, having done spontaneous RPs in MSN Messenger until I started getting serious with Gaia Online, and finally sunk my fangs into character-based RPing with Hunter x Hunter since it was my favourite anime at the time, then in 2006 when it was released in Canada, I became obsessed with Bleach and have been in at least half a dozen Bleach communities since then. I love cosplaying as well, so naturally I've cosplayed just about every Hunter x Hunter, Bleach, and DCEU girl there is. Here's one of my favourites! I normally do sci-fi or anime themed RPing, so this will be a different experience for me. I look forward to meeting everyone and getting more involved!

Coatl of the Imilla
Dedicated
Roleplay posts: 143
Appearance: Skin just a skosh darker than an old clay pot. The shade of his hat occludes black, sun-beaten eyes, wavy, matted hair, and just enough beard to protect his chin. His hands are coarse and leathery, with wiry tendons. His height isn't quite imposing, it's but enough to lend credence to a purposeful stride and posture.
-------
Equipment: An old duster, scarf, and cotton shirt and slacks. A thin brigandine with copper plates and a military-grade pitchfork.
A single candle, a reagent of now forbidden degrees of power.
-------
Skills and Abilities: On his home turf, Coatl could manifest formidable elemental magic. Here the magic is suppressed down to more subtle manipulations. However, the spirit of Cuaté, the "Witch", is still with him.
Coatl is, at his core, a simple farmhand. His experience working on ranches and plantations has earned him a strong physique and a way with animals. When he was a teenager, he also spent some time as a city guard and militiaman, giving him basic competence with a variety of weapons.
-------
Biography: The Imilla Clan were migrant farmers and laborers, selling themselves to wealthier kingdoms. They were a people bound by working shanties, and stories of an Eden from whence their ancestors came. As a youth, Coatl felt they were naive. They possessed the most basic of martial skills and required the aid of capricious spirits with weak magic to protect them.
His suspicions were half true, for when they encountered a malevolent kingdom, they were very nearly enslaved. However, his parent's commitment to peace earned him, and him in particular, the loyalty of an ancestral spirit that was far more dependable.
Using the power of this spirit, Coatl and a few other "chosen ones" helped bring prosperity and safety to their clan, ensuring that no one else would try to enslave them. The golden years of their people came to an abrupt end, however, when the flood waters came...

Welcome welcome! The rules are a bit to go through but please feel free to hop into our Discord and get to meet other players and staff. We're mostly chill and friendly.
I usually go by Jun, as that she was my first serious roleplay character when I started about... I wanna say 8 years ago? A friend introduced rp to me even further back on good old fashioned Myspace, AIM, and Tumblr, and I wound up getting back into it years later. I do creative writing on the side and I sometimes give advice and tutor, but I'm still a work in progress myself.
I'm a guy btw, but I do both genders and try to do different age groups. This community's been together for a long time and has helped me grow quite a lot.
Anyways, it's good to meet you and I hope to see you around some more!
