This is where Freyr and Ásbera Ironwolf talk and watch the stars in the beginning of the nights. The gigantic rock is still inside the camp but far enough away to have some privacy, it has tracks behind it and shows signs that once this boulder once was at the top of a mountain and one day fell off of it.

Baggi had just returned with the breastplate and was about to give it to Líf for safekeeping when I thought crossed his head, even if all the pieces are together, what than ? The large man looked around when 3-2 passed him on her way to assist with the supplies, immediately after his eyes went straight to Vailas and the man did the same.
What Vailas saw next was a large man, with face tattoos and a pissed off expression in his face. Baggi wasn't angry of course, his face just did that when he was thinking too hard about anything, still, that didn't make him less intimidating.
"Hmm, you're Vailas right ?" Baggi spoke, his voice sounded gentle and a bit awkward "you're the one responsible for the... metal... person... walking around camp right ? Can we, hmmm, talk for a second ?"

Age: Somewhere between his mid 30s and mid 40s
Appearance: At first glance, not much about him would stand out to most people. Average height, average weight and build, black hair with a growing goatee, brown eyes, tan colored skin, generally nothing much to draw attention to his own physical form, except for the striking silver and bronze of his left hand, make completely of metal, with blue energy flowing throughout lines in the construction. His clothing is mostly fairly simple as well, with brown pants and a long leather overcoat, under which he wears a gray top. However, on his chest he also wears a brooch made of the same materials as his hand, a large blue gem set in the center.
Equipment: -An assortment of tools for building his magic-powered automatons, known as Magikróm
-5 Variation 1 Magikróm, which are shaped like spheres with a 1.5 foot diameter and eight extendable limbs, with no weaponry. Used only for sorting, transport, and limited help around a house or lab setting. Only two are operational. The other three are functionally scrap metal
-3 Variation 2 Magikróm, of which none are operational. Originally, they were defensive machines with limited movement, having two wheels on their lower half, one spear/horn like appendage, and two magic-energy firing devices on pivots.
-a simple knife.
Skills and Abilities: While he's unable to harness it himself in any meaningful way(except creating his Magikróm), Vailas is highly knowledgeable in the properties and abilities of magic energy and most things tangentially related to it. He is skilled at basic robotics and more or less knows how to work metal into the shapes he needs. Other than that, his only true skill comes from being a well-read individual.
Biography: Hailing from the relatively barren land of Sezæria, survival was often a struggle for Vailas. As such, he had to find a way to make himself useful quick. Having some magical aptitude, as well as quite the intellect, he took to learning the ways of magic. However, he could never learn enough to cast the more complex spells. To get around this, he learned how to impart his magic into robotic entities, to power them. While some thought of this as being genius, many also feared him for it, and one attempted to be rid of him in his sleep. He got away, but he lost his hand in the process, eventually replacing it with the same sort of magical technology he used in his machines. He soon became much more reclusive, after that happened, and rumors around the town said he turned to less morally sound ways of practicing his craft, though it was never specified how bad it got. Near the time of the flood, he had found his way to the shore where he acquired a decent sized vessel, manning it with himself and a number of his machinations, many of which did not survive the voyage once the waters hit.

As Vailas watched the large man approach, he would take a step back, arm coming up across his chest, eyes surveying the surrounding area in case an escape route was necessary. Once Baggi began speaking however, Vailas would lower his arm some, enough to seem open while still staying on guard. "...Yes, I am the one who created the automaton." He answers carefully. "What is it you wish to speak about?"
His mind raced with questions. What did this man see? Did 3-2 malfunction and reveal something it shouldn't have? Was he in a dangerous situation?

"Follow me for a second, there's too many people around." Baggi said, leading Vailas to a big rock just far enough that they could talk. Behind the rock, tracks could be seen going from it to the mountains behind, as if it had fallen not to long ago.
"In a different time I would've gone to the Dwarfs with something like this, but since they are not here and you made an automaton much like they did, except, you know, human shaped." Baggi showed Vailas the breastplate, it was clear that nothing humanoid could ever fit inside it.
"How does this things work ? Me me my wife have been recovering more and more of something that I can assume is much like 3-2 but it occurred to me that we have no idea of how we would fix it."

Vailas inspects the breastplate closely, noting its size and shape, as well as seeing that it matches the coloration and design of the other armor pieces he had seen in camp before, part of what he can only assume is a set of living armor. "...Superficially it may resemble 3-2, however it seems to work much differently. Magic flows through 3-2, much like blood flows through our own veins. However, from what I saw of the armor earlier, it can move even while hollow, leading me to believe it was traditionally enchanted." He scratches his chin, standing back up straight. "So I assume putting the pieces together as one would for a set of armor, that would likely work just fine. However you may need to create a base to set it all upon, to make the job easier. Some sort of humanoid model to set it upon." He holds out his one hand. "May I take a closer look, please?"

Baggi lifted an eyebrow than looked at where 3-2 was than back at Vailas "I see." Baggi handed the breastplate to Vailas, the Nords angry face came back.
As Vailas distracted examining the breastplate, Baggi's eyes would go to 3-2 than back at the breastplate, something about what Vailas had said made the large man suspicious but he couldn't figure out why.

Vailas would flip the piece of armor over in his hand a few times, tapping it with his other hand, looking over it for deformations, and generally examining its intricacies. "As I suspected, It just appears to be...very small armor. As if it was not made to be worn, but instead specifically to be enchanted." He looks up and goes to hand the breastplate back. "Though, perhaps if you find the helmet, it may be able to direct you through it itself, if it has such intelligence."

When Vailas started talking, Baggi, was somewhere else, not physically but mentally, the man's voice brought him back though, he picked the breastplate, looked Vailas in the eyes, smiled and thanked him.
"So, Vailas, I got to say, 3-2 is very nice construct, it must've been hard to make it, I might not understand magic very well but could you talk more about the metal person helping us ?"

Vailas' heart began to race. He knew something. Vailas tapped his fingers against his leg, considering the question and his response carefully. "It was quite a difficult challenge, I must admit." He begins, looking over to 3-2 himself. "Especially compared to my other automatons, which were all much smaller and mostly circular. Modelling it after a human was difficult, but in the end necessary for it to be the all-purpose machine I needed it to be. It pulls its power from the air around it-Magic energy, Ether, Mana, whatever you wish to call it-and circulates it through its body so that it may function."
He picks his words carefully as he describes the metal warrior, making sure to give enough so that no serious questions arise from his secrecy, yet not enough to let free the information that would surely cost him his safety here.

Baggi thought for a second and decided that asking directly was a better option than trying to bait any information from Vailas "So what's inside 3-2 ? You said that this one I have is different, that it's hollow, so what's inside that one." Baggi pointed to 3-2, "and don't lie."

Vailas' eyes narrowed as Baggi asked his question, the wording seeming somewhat hostile to him. "I do not know what you may be implying, nor do I think I wish to," he begins. "But all that is within 3-2 is its internal components. The parts that make it run. Unlike a traditionally enchanted artifact, which is simply imbued with magic, thaumatological constructs such as 3-2 have to...process it, for lack of a better term. Use it as fuel, similar to coal in a fire. So, inside the armor are components to take in magic energy and use it for the different functions, such as movement or the creation of magical constructs." He answers, his every word a part of the truth. "Does that answer your question?"

"Yes, it's actually very interesting, sorry I seemed a little hmm, hostile, the dwarf used to use animal souls to make their constructs move." He looked at the rest of the camp, "I should help too," he said before leaving.

"I see." Vailas says, adjusting the brooch on his coat. "3-2 works only on my own will, controlled with this. You need not worry. I shall be over soon as well to help."
Vailas exhales from his nose, letting the tension out of his mind. That seemed to be a close call, and while for now Baggi seemed satisfied with his answers...he was definitely one to keep his eyes on.

Vailas glances over at her, fixing his collar. "It was nothing of importance." He tells her. "He simply had questions about the armor that they have been finding, as well as some inquiries into 3-2. Though, some seemed more like baseless accusations than anything else." He mutters the last part, watching the settlement to see if there was anywhere that they needed help cleaning up and readying to escape the storm.
