"That would be most helpful for everyone. I'm not sure where I will be come tomorrow, but if you cannot find me then simply ask around. I will leave news of my whereabouts with someone." Bella nodded as Faisine agreed to the task. If she wandered on the other side of the island then the witch could regain her strength and find the more local samples of Flora to work on. Given this leaf was still relatively fresh, then it went without saying it could ve found and cultivated nearby. The first fruit of her labor would unfortunately have to go to Faisine as fair repayment, but anything after could be profitable if she moved with enough haste.
The dark haired woman had momentarily been in her thoughts as she thought about her next steps now that they were less hazy, however she was brought back to the present as the bouquet of foliage was handed to her. Most of it she recognized, and could very well make use of it, but it was the oak leaf of all things that gave the woman pause.
Her brow furrowed at its overly familiar and common shape. Oh how she had cursed them so many times each autumn as the falling leaves sought to suffocate her late autumn bounty. Worst of all she heard him.
"So your people returns to the land, yes?"
"Most people do, yes." The male voice replied teasingly.
"Evidently most, But your people say that after death you return to the land and become reborn as part of the forest. So, what are you hoping you turn into?"
"Mm.." the voice audibly paused to think. "I'd like the become an oak."
"An oak? Why? Surely there are far more prized trees."
"An Oak tree grows large and strong. I'd be content to be an oak tree if it means I can keep protecting you, and everyone I love."
"Tch, always the sentimental one." There was a long pause before her own voice could add, "I think an Oak would suit you fine, too."
Bella's thousand yard stare only lasted barely a moment that she startled herself back to reality. The witch turned her face away from Faisine as she gazed out towards the direction of the water.
"I have to go."
