Appearance: Standing at 5’10 and weighing about 160 pounds, the Reverend is far from physically imposing. His skin is tanned and leathery and he has a neatly trimmed beard and mustache. His eyes are gray in color and his hair is white. Most of the time he wears a rather plain brown hooded robe, but for ceremonies the outfit he wears in the profile picture is accurate.

Equipment: The holy book of Ardorism, which is a very hefty tome that is gold wrapped and crafted out of the finest materials and enchanted with holy magic. Several ceremonial daggers made out of a variety of precious metals and materials. A pair of glasses that assist the user in detecting the presence of magic. An exceptionally tall ceremonial hat with matching pauldrons that are guided in gold, they are also enchanted.

Biography: Known in the Balaton Kingdom as Archbishop Womodious, he presided over The Faithful while also offering his council to Prince Lylok, the young, presumptive ruler of Lower Pannonia. He had instructed Lylok since the tender age of 5, doing all he could to instill the values of a good leader into the lad.
However, Lylok wasn’t the only child he was raising. Several years prior to his appointment at the cathedral, The Reverend found an orphan left on his doorstep. While he could have simply sent them to the orphanage, he took this as a sign from God and chose to raise the child as his own. Naming her Zasha, after a famous Saint known for her patience, grace, and gentleness, she was brought up with the tenets of the church all around her, but Womodious did his best to never push her too hard to accept them all. Forcing the tenet’s of Adorism on someone who wasn’t willing went against all of Womodious’s beliefs.
Zasha and Lylok were similar in age, yet came from starkly different worlds. Through their mutual father figure, they had many interactions. Both learning different lessons from the other as a rivalry of sorts formed between them. Lylok succeeded in areas of the mind and wit, while Zasha routinely trounced her brother in the play yard, and always finished her chores first.
And then, the Holy Rain came. On the day of Lylok’s 30th birthday, at this point a beloved and just ruler. Womdious and Zasha were traveling back on a boat from missionary work and had just docked at the port as disaster struck. Immense amounts of rain, the likes they had never seen before fell, and the ocean came alive as if possessed by some demonic force.
Womodious didn’t know how he managed to clamber aboard the HMS Agamemnon, but took this miracle as a sign from God that he still had work to do in this life. With the nation of Balaton destroyed, he cast aside his previous title and his name, stating he was now solely “The Reverend”. He had lost Lylok, but he still had Zasha, and together, he wished for them to start fresh elsewhere. He planned to do all he could to keep Ardorism alive in what was left of this watery grave of a world.

Scattered inside the settlement are several of these firepits, all constructed of stone and raised to prevent the flames from spreading to the nearby buildings. The community at large keeps them lit throughout the night, everyone helping collects bits and pieces of wood to stack up near each of the fires. In the evenings and at night is when the firepits are most frequented. The residents of Pannoa who are still up at that hour gathering around to warm themselves before heading off to bed. A few residents have also taken it upon themselves to begin building some simple benches to place around the fire, offering ample seating to those who gather.

The sound of something heavy dragging on the rocks and grass of the Pannoa settlement could catch the attention of nearby stragglers, though none approached the woman with the unpredictable gaze. Bella walked, but it was more akin to a puppet whose strings were masterfully being pulled than a conscious action. Behind her, she dragged the wooden chest that had saved her life, as heavy as it was, but there was no complaint to be had. Her eyes were dull and hollow, mirroring the exact way she was feeling in that moment.
Only a bit of life returned to them as her shoe hit against one of the makeshift benches that surrounded one of the several fires. A glance around told her both everything she needed to know and yet also nothing at all. A few faces chatted with a sense of… not quite contentment, but thankfulness. Perhaps thankful they made it out of whatever forced them here, perhaps thankful they never had to deal with it. Perhaps thankful they still had their loved ones with them.
The sudden pounding in her chest had her feel faint, and ungracefully she plopped herself down on the bench. It wasn't until the heat of the fire licked against the skin of her face that she realized how cold she was, how thirsty and how hungry she was. Yet she was too proud to beg, instead crossing her arms and leaning forward to warm up from the fire. Her cold gaze turned to the flames as they danced.

Faisine was leaving with Anatolius the next day, but was completely restless at the moment as she walked toward the flicker of flames with Citole in hand. She should be going to sleep to rest for the trek to find more survivors... but alas. She glanced around the place at the people who were in a mood. They all looked weary. The spell-singer sat down on one of the benches near the woman who had just dragged a trunk over.
She began to pluck idly at the strings of the well loved instrument, skilled fingers making for a soft and peaceful tune. In another world, the sound of her music could make the wind shift just so, but that world was no longer.
It gave the blond pause to think.
Her gaze drifted toward the flames and watched them dance as well. She began to hum along with the tune of the citole.

Bella had hardly paid attention to the woman who was as pretty as a fairy as she had the misfortune of sitting down next to the wicked witch. Not that the poor thing knew that the wicked witch was in too sour of a mood for company, let alone music. He had loved music. The witch remembered the way his fingers danced over the strings while she sang, but with only each other and the heavenly bodies as their audience. Why did everything remind her of a man she couldn't remember? Why could she remember things about him without remembering him?
If silence could have served as an invisible wall between Her and the fairy that would have been well and good for the morose woman, but the sound of strings being plucked and weaved into a beautiful melody shattered both the wall and Bella's introspective patience.
"Do you mind?" She suddenly snapped despite her all too dry throat, a dryness that could be heard. "Some of us would rather be with our thoughts without the twitterings of an oriole."

"I do mind. You're the only one complaining," she chirped. Her brow lifted. The former princess continued to pluck at the strings and humming away, now doing it just to spite the woman. She even went so far as to move away and sit elsewhere, on her rump in the dirt. She shot a baleful look toward the woman in question and lifted her chin as if daring her to come at her.
"Some of us," she started in her sing-song voice, "Like to have a little joy in our lives and are feeling down enough without having a sour apple around." And then she deliberately botched a few chords. There might be a slight feeling of the air shifting in a way that wasn't pleasant, but it was only slight since her magic was somehow depleted from the mist. "Some of us," she continued, "Appreciate those little bits of joy where they can find it."

Bella, who was still salted by the ocean, shot a sharp look at Faisine as she talked back. There was no violence behind it though it was more akin to making a note. Her eyes rolled as they threw their daggers back to the fire in the pit. There was a scoff as the woman brought "joy" into this. "Joy?" she began as her expression turned bitter, "Some of us are able to tell the difference between joy and a distraction. I have nothing left to take joy in and I am not interested in pretending otherwise."
Done speaking, she closed her eyes and rubbed her temple with the index and middle finger. There was a sudden painful pulse in her head that she attempted to massage out. Headaches always came on when her emotions got the better of her. It never failed, like a biological reminder to keep her wits about her. She didn't have the energy to expend arguing pointlessly.
"Where am I Exactly?" she asked.

She scoffed back and said dryly, "Well I am glad to know you know me so well that you know my motives." She did stop playing because she was irritated now. Nothing brought more joy to her than playing her citole at the moment. But the woman ruined it for her. She thought about getting up and walking to another pit where she would be more appreciated...
The old Faisine would have sassed more than that, for she'd been spoiled and rotten once upon a time. But between war and now this... flood. She sighed and muttered to herself to calm down.
When it was clear the other had calmed down and was in no mood to fight a stupid fight such as that, Faisine took out her water skin and offered it. "I have meat too if you're hungry," she mumbled and then went on to say, "I am not certain, myself."

Bella eyed the water skin suspiciously considering their exchange had been a bit less than cordial. Faisine didn't seem like the petty type however, nor would one poison their own water skin. The witch took it without a smile but she at least nodded appreciatively for once. When she drank, she drank the contents in large draws. It was returned with some still left inside, but would certainly need refilling. She then nodded again at the offer of meat, as anything was better than nothing.
"I see..." Bella replied when it was revealed Faisine wasn't sure herself. "There was some kind of great deluge where I was from. I haven't yet seen a face I recognize despite fate having spared them before. I don't know how much of the world has been swallowed and I can sense my magic being.. suppressed. It's not quite ideal if I want to find my way back."

She pulled out an oiled cloth that she wrapped around the meat and offered the whole bundle. "I have enough for everyone here... truth be told." It was venison that she had shot down several days prior before she dried as much of the meat as she could in order to preserve it, she would rather share it. "Your magic too..?" she asked in some surprise. Curious, she thought.
"Aye," she said thickly, "I think everyone has a similar story of how they came to be to this land. I think the hand of the mist has touched us all." And not in good ways either. "I feel absolutely vile because of it, myself. Did you feel ill? I know I saw some things that I dare not repeat for fear of nightmares, but I also thought they were all in my head and I was going mad." She shook her head then. "Sorry, I... should shut up now." And she did, looking crestfallen now.
She reached down to the ground and picked up a stick someone had left nearby, pressing it into the logs to stir up the fire and make it somewhat brighter again.

Taking the whole bundle seemed like too much, but it was hard to turn down since Bella had no idea what her plans were in terms of set up nor did she have any secured food sources. That would have to come with time, but this would in theory be enough to get by for now, at least long enough to get her footing under her again. There wasn't much to give back in exchange, but that could quickly be rectified.
While she chewed thoughtfully on a piece of dried meat, she listened to Faisine's experience in the mist. Unfortunately her own experience didn't mirror hers exactly. She rolled her eyes again as Faisine convinced herself she needed to shut up. Her instrument, yes, but her information, no. "Why? You're giving me valuable information. I do feel ill, but I think its more to do with a head injury." She said as casually "All I've experienced in the mist was a long dream, and some ghosts from the past. Biography: History: Lady Faisine was born in the lost kingdom of Verri, but she was raised in a cloister (Not nuns, but yes, women who were very religious nevertheless). She has little to no memory of Verri and spent most of her days learning to be a lady... To speak like a lady, to embroider, to sing and pluck a tune on a lute like a lady... How very dull and drab. She had, nevertheless, been pampered, for her father had donated generously and made it clear that she was to be a lady, not a servant. She had her own servants, they did everything for her. The cloister was raided and many lives were lost, and now she finds herself traveling alone for parts unknown.
She has known lots of war.
Then she met her mate, Cairex, and they set off into the Usque, only to be torn apart by the cataclysm...

"Because, if I don't... there will be tears. And I have shed enough of them to last a lifetime," she said in a low voice, her eyes now staring at the flickering flames. She went silent for a long time before replying, "I feel the same way. Depleted but not empty..." Her eyes drifted up toward the woman and she sighed softly. "I am Faisine D'Arcy... I was once a princess, not that it matters nowadays, as I am sure that I am the last remaining of the D'Arcy dynasty." She paused and stabbed at the log then, a little harder than intended.
"I am a spell singer, but I was raised to be the chatelain of a castle one day, so I am lucky enough to know how to mix potions as well." She put the stick down and wrapped her arms around her legs, drawing her knees to her chest. Then she stared off.

Appearance: Belladonna has Dark straight black hair that ends just passed her jaw, aside for a long braid. She has ivory skin, dark painted lips and heterochromia with her right eye being a medium grey and the left a deep blue.
There is no color on Belladonna's clothing. She tends to wear long corseted dresses that go from her neck down and leaves everything to the imagination while also not hiding away her charms. She also wears her black fur shawl in colder weather, but if the weather is particularly warm she might go without. Her shoes are calf-height sturdy low-heeled boots.

Skills and Abilities: Potions, poisons, medicine and drugs. Anything from curses to cures is where Belladonna's (Bella for the privileged few) expertise lies. With the right payment, no work is morally too low for her and no cause too great.
Chemistry: Allows her to isolate plant components and increase their potency on a rudimentary level, however consumes more resources and time to accomplish. Medicine of that caliber can also create highly corrosive or toxic fumes. Mistakes may cause fires or explosions of mundane of magical nature.
Arcane investigation: Bella is in tune with magic, but only senses it in form of intuition or "gut feeling", since her power and senses are muted on the isles. She is also knowledgeable in matters of the arcane and given enough time can decipher occult texts and inscriptions, at least based on her best guess of the meaning, depending how ancient it is and the context evidence is found in.
Ritual curses and Hexes:
All rituals require material and somatic components to work. Due to the influence of the Isles, all curses and hexes are channeled into an item that then needs to be placed on or around the target person. Typically they take form of letters tied with red string, wooden or straw idols or potions/food that need to be consumed by the target.
Arcane knowledge: What is a witch without knowledge on the basics and how to use them?
Biography: All she says is she doesn't remember where she came from, but some have doubts about that statement.

Belladonna gave Faisine a side glance as she made her broken heart vulnerable and exposed. What were the use of tears now? The dead were gone and beyond caring. Since they had to audacity to leave the world behind then they had no right to crowd her mind now. The world was much colder not only without her friends, but if they perished then so did her enemies. That was a silver lining she could take advantage of, as well as the knowledge that no one knew her. Perhaps a half truth would serve more purpose here.
"Mm. You were blessed with memory then. I can't say I've had the same luck beyond my name and occupation I'm afraid. Faces with no names, or names with no faces, or neither and it manifests as a feeling, a sensation. My name is Belladonna Atropa." She let silence reign the conversation between as her still cold hand prodded at the sore spot at the back of her head. "I need to get my wits back about me and make some medicine. Have the herbs here been familiar to you?"

"I have seen both normal things and things that were not what I expected. I am afraid to use the newer plants and herbs, though I am sure not everything is toxic," she murmured and then said, "Perhaps I can help before I go. I leave on the morrow with Anatolius to find more survivors, but I have plenty of time before then." Faisine shifted to stand, stretching her limbs before picking up the instrument she had been plucking before. She moved closer to the one who ruined her mood earlier and she tilted her head. "Luckily not everything is foreign around these parts. That is regular venison I gave you. I have seen animals that are different than I have encountered, nothing dangerous yet." She brought it up because she thought it was relevant to the conversation at hand.
"Oh, there is this," she said and grabbed for one of the pouches that hung from her belt, putting her instrument down and pulling out a strange looking star shaped leaf that smelled sweet, it was a deep purple in color. "I picked this off of a plant I saw not far from here, I don't know what it is but I saw the deer eating it, so I doubt it's poisonous."

Bella nodded, but gave Faisine a side-eye as the princess-musician slid ever closer to her. The stare lingered as a silent warning, but finally she relented as the topic was brought to the unfamiliar foliage and creatures. All was well and good to recognize some but the unknown served more potential, at least to her. Bella waved her hand at Faisine's suggestion. "I am too weakened now to undertake another trek, so I won't trouble you with this now either."
As Faisine offered her the innocuous leaf, the more sullen woman plucked it from her hand by her long nails that had miraculously remained unbroken. She examined the leaf more closely for the peculiar shape and color. The leaf was indeed sweetly fragrant, but paled in comparison to her flowers or whatever remained in her memory of them. The notes of the aroma revealed the exact sort of potential she was looking for. "I cannot confirm its usefulness in full, but with a little time and a few experiments then perhaps I can make it useful yet. I will not bother you over a trek tonight, but as you as going in the 'morrow, then perhaps I could trouble you you gather and bring to me more flora you find and tell me where on this land you've found it. If my suspicions are correct then perhaps this could be made into potent medicine if enough is gathered. May I keep this one? I shall try and get a station set. Do not worry about bringing me toxic flora, as most medicine are at least partially made from poison in the right doses." Bella explained and gestured to the leaf in her hand. "I will sort through what can and can't be used, so long as you bring it to me.

She nodded solemnly as she was asked to do a task that she probably would have done anyway, but now had someone who actually needed the help more than anything. It gave her a little more sense of purpose, for while a bard was useful in some cases, medicine was much more so. Her mouth curled slightly upward and she said, "I will do that. It might take some time, depending on where we are at, but I will bring them dried and fresh."
Faisine did not get too close to the woman, for she wasn't really fond of her just yet... But she would keep that bit of noise to herself.
She pulled out several more leaves that had been wrapped in some twine, they were various leaves and herbs, most of which were recognizable, like sassafras and oak.
