Gabriel tried his best to ignore Erin, he didn't want to waste time either but he felt like doing so because the phantom had told them not to, he chose to be mature and keep going.
Gabriel wasn't an introvert but people usually were scared of him but his reputation didn't survive the mist and these people saw him as one of the people who saved him from the monster,"sure, I don't mind asking the questions." He said, looking around, he moved to ask a young man nearby.
He cleared his throat and tried to start a conversation rather than an interrogation. "Hello," he said, his tone of voice wasn't the most friendly in general "I'd like to ask a few questions about activity related to attacks happening near the river, what exactly do you know ?"

Appearance: She has pretty light skin with multiple scars, black hair and black eyes.
She wears a lot of bandages on her face which makes it hard to see what she looks like. Some of her hair sticks out from them.
She wears a worn black coat with a hood and long sleeves. Her dark gray pants are loose and visibly worn.
The phantom usually looks like a young man with simple attire, black pants and green tunic. You can barely see it's legs as it's bottom half is fading. It sometimes looks wounded.
Equipment: Under her sleeves she has arm guards with retractable blades. These blades are serrated and are usually hidden to look like armor.
Her normal weapon simple dagger, nothing special about it.
Under her coat she usually has a bag.
Skills and Abilities: She can force you to use the same magic/special ability. If you can't do that you are hurt instead.
She can slash with dark blue energy. This slowly begins to weaken abilities, after some time it completely nullifies them for a while.
She can make herself intangible for a couple of minutes. She cannot move and is immune to attacks, however she still takes damage if her phantom attacks.
Her phantom is a hidden entity, usually near her and completely invisible(unless you have an ability that let's you see invisible things). You can feel it's presence when it attacks, enough that you can know where it is without seeing it.
She currently has no control over it, it will only fight if she really needs it or if it wants to fight.
It can shoot small sparks of energy that deal a bit of damage and take small bits of magic from the target.
It can make cuts in the air that linger for a bit, if you step on these invisible cuts you take damage.
It can also summon multiple weapons, either Ziel's or her opponents. These weapons don't copy magical properties.

The young man looked surprised." Oh you're the ones that fought the Sparkler, as people called it. Well um what do you need to know? Are you here for the other monster attacks?"
Ziel nodded." We heard there was an attack in the river, do you know what caused it? Us three- er two can check it out."
The young man." Apparently it was a swarm of jellyfish like creatures. I think they said they where inside water bubbles, and whenever they where hurt they would keep going because their body parts fused back together."
Ziel looked at Gabriel." Ever seen anything like it?"

"not exactly, but I've killed things that could regenerate body parts but I don't think it would be easy to use the same method as I burned it to ashes" Gabriel took some time to think, "cutting them won't work,if they're inside a water bubble burning them woulb need something flammable, even if we could use that they move as a swarm, maybe they suffocate outside the bubble, the question would be, how fast would they die outside of it ? Could they remake it before they die ? If we manege to get one we might be able to find a way to kill it than use the information against the rest."

Ziel grumbled." I sure have had my fair share of those as well, the fact that they can go to land means they're somehow able to survive out of it. Actually, we don't know if they have any magic we have to deal with."
Erin looked bored." The town's folk will probably start seeing to as people to use, don't get your hopes up."He told Ziel, killing her concentration. The boy looked confused at her distress, but didn't say anything.
"Let's just get this over with. We're going to take care of this monster whatever and get some shut eye." She said, guiding them to the woods where they supposedly saw the monsters. It took them a few minutes to get to the river, people greeted them with hellos and thanks.
Once they arrived Ziel noticed it was eerily quiet, despite the flourishing plants and trees. The river itself was crystal clear and shallow."Huh, looks like even the birds decided to leave this place. Any ideas on how we're going to get these monsters out?"

Erin said nothing that Gabriel didn't already know but he was too concentrated on how to kill the creatures to taunt the phantom, he followed in silence all the way to the river.
It seemed like the monsters were having an impact on nature, that or the animals knew to avoid them. "Maybe if we start messing with the water or if we make some noise." He replied.

"Let's try it." She looked around and saw how sandy the water is." Let's throw as much sand into the water as we can. If they are in the water this should scare them out" She started throwing sandy dirt into the river, muddying up the water.
Already there was something stirring under the water. The inhabitants where feeling happy t the acidity and contamination of the river. The fish swam away form them as they saw the jellyfish begin to peak form under rocks. They watched the people messing with them. They had lights in their eyes, giving them away to whoever paid attention to the darker areas of the river.

Gabriel initially just watched carefully, when he thought he saw something in the water he picked a few rocks just a little smaller than his hands and threw them with a lot of force directly at it hoping it would hit it, he threw three of those, the last one had sharp edges.

The monsters sprung into action. With violent jumps they got out of the water and screeched loudly. They came out of the water surrounded by thick bubbles of water. When they landed back they looked like they rolled on the surface of the river
Ziel looked surprised." I thought there would be more." She said, drawing her blades.
Just as she said this more emerged from the river bed." It is never that simple." Erin remarked.
The jellyfish where masses of tentacles, with string like body parts and unsymmetrical frames. You couldn't tell where was the body and where was the head.
They rolled over the surface of the water and leaped at Gabriel, using sharpened corals to try and stab into his face. A few of the others tried going after Ziel, who started slashing and hacking at them with her blades. She extended them further for more range.

Gabriel use his shield to attack the first with blunt force, than he drew his sword to go for any other monsters near him. Gabriel made sure not to stay to far from Ziel in case of him or her needing assistance.

The jellyfish threw their water, splashing the two in it. The ground grew muddy from the amount they threw." Watch your step!" Ziel said, her body vanishing and making the jellyfish fall to the ground.
The reappeared in the same spot and landed on top of them. The phantom summoned a spear, and began stabbing everything that was getting close to them. The jellyfish had no water bubbles, so they jumped into the water to regenerate it again.
"Ok, that was fast." They doused the two with water again, trying to muddy the water as much as possible. One of the jellyfish was readying an ambush. With a sharp needle like proboscis the largest of the jellyfish amalgam jumped towards Gabriel, trying to jab it's needle into their neck.

Gabriel lifted his shield to stop the jellyfish hoping the needle would get stuck, if it did he would try to squish the thing against the ground using his bodyweight while also trying to stab anything near him, he was starting to get excited as the creatures were trying to swarm them, a smile was beginning to form in his face.
The muddy ground was specially bad for Gabriel due to his weight so he had some difficult moving, he would try to stand in a more solid ground if possible.

The jellyfish was knocked off and shrieked. The wild swings from Gabriel connected, cutting the jellyfish in half. The two halves sprung away and jumped into the water.
"Ok, they're easy to cut at least." Girl said, slashing a few of them with her blades. They ones swarming her would be cut in half and start fleeing from her.
However as their numbers dwindld the jellyfish would come back for a second round of attacks. With their body parts healed they attacked with increased aggression. Using their disproportionately large arms, they tried to grab onto Gabriel and Ziel's legs and push them deeper into the muddy water.
"Ok, they're worst than I thought. Any plan to get us out?" She asked her Gabriel and Erin. Erin, who was invisible and invulnerable to the jellyfish, was struggling to fend them off. They seemed to take notice of the third entity, but could not find out how to attack it.

"Have Erin holding them back, they don't seem to be able to harm him, plus he's already dead." Gabriel said, hoping the phantom would listen to Ziel the paladin slashed at any limbs grabbing him.

The phantom kept attacking, floating above the jellyfish. Erin used some of his magic, his slashes glowed cyan, and lingered in the air, causing the jellyfish to repeatedly be hit by the afterimages of the cuts.
Once again the jellyfish fled, but Ziel was not letting them leave this time. She cut them further and further, stopping them from getting back to shore. The jellyfish shrieked at this.
They decided one last tactic. They left the two alone, and all jumped into the water. They dragged their broken body parts into the water, jumping over each other in a desperate attempt to flee. The phantom attacked a few of them, but many got away. A few stayed behind to distracted the two fighters.
Something stirred inside the water, their bodies began to fuse together. The amount of jellyfish in the water was astounding. What rose from the river was a house sized amalgam of coral, jellyfish body parts and tentacles. Their body was covered in a membrane of water that almost drained the river.
The last few jellyfish jumped into the giant." Of course they're capable of doing that."

Gabriel chuckled and attacked amalgamation slashing and stabbing with all his might trying to cut the it's limbs. He mercilessly attacked it over and over ignoring non fatal attacks goin his way "this is finally becoming fun !" He said as he chuckled more an more.
