Gabriel jumped back, spinning his body in the direction oh his shield, without stopping he ran to his shield and back, by the time he was back another illusion was up, he was getting tired of this thing. Gabriel used all hemis momentum to hit the illusion hard whit the shield shattering and keeping his movement forward to hit the creature in his eyes with the sword.

Appearance: She has pretty light skin with multiple scars, black hair and black eyes.
She wears a lot of bandages on her face which makes it hard to see what she looks like. Some of her hair sticks out from them.
She wears a worn black coat with a hood and long sleeves. Her dark gray pants are loose and visibly worn.
The phantom usually looks like a young man with simple attire, black pants and green tunic. You can barely see it's legs as it's bottom half is fading. It sometimes looks wounded.
Equipment: Under her sleeves she has arm guards with retractable blades. These blades are serrated and are usually hidden to look like armor.
Her normal weapon simple dagger, nothing special about it.
Under her coat she usually has a bag.
Skills and Abilities: She can force you to use the same magic/special ability. If you can't do that you are hurt instead.
She can slash with dark blue energy. This slowly begins to weaken abilities, after some time it completely nullifies them for a while.
She can make herself intangible for a couple of minutes. She cannot move and is immune to attacks, however she still takes damage if her phantom attacks.
Her phantom is a hidden entity, usually near her and completely invisible(unless you have an ability that let's you see invisible things). You can feel it's presence when it attacks, enough that you can know where it is without seeing it.
She currently has no control over it, it will only fight if she really needs it or if it wants to fight.
It can shoot small sparks of energy that deal a bit of damage and take small bits of magic from the target.
It can make cuts in the air that linger for a bit, if you step on these invisible cuts you take damage.
It can also summon multiple weapons, either Ziel's or her opponents. These weapons don't copy magical properties.

Once again an illusion was broken, but the monster seemed to scream in agony. Sounds of human screams mixed with it's shrieks rumbled throughout the town. The thing was tired and so it disappeared, it's body shattering once again leaving them both alone together.
Ziel knew that thing wasn't dead, not by a long shot. But she didn't care, not right now. She turned to the man, and growled." Just who the hell are you?" She said with such contempt.
"What happened to Erin? How did you even see him?" She asked, keeping her arm blades drawn.

Gabriel recomposed himself "Me ? I am Gabriel of the order of the moon, The goddess Uriel has blessed me with the abilities to carry out her work, That includes being able to see and hurt entities such as tho one you call Erin and I would love to say it's dead but my powers aren't what they use to e so there's a chance that your pet is still out there." Gabriel chuckled "You're a very capable person aren't you, tell me, who are you and why keep something that reeks of evil around ? I can fully get rid of it if it comes back you know."

'Erin wasn't dead?' That was. . . she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. It was her only friend, but to be honest it was also her worst enemy. It was complicated.
"It's my punishment." She said simply."My name is Ziel"
"You seem more than just a sword for hire. Did you come here for the reward as well.?" She asked, her voice guarded and her arms crossed over her chest.

"Punishment huh ?" Gabriel started looking around the street looking for traces of the creature they just fought while talking "Money ? No that's not why I'm here, I'm here to fullfil my life's purpose and carry out my goddess wishes, which is to destroy harmful creatures of the night, the money is just a bonus it's the thrill of the fight that motivates me."
Gabriel approached the woman after his looking around, "These people are selfish, only looking out for themselves, they don't deserve to be saved but I don't get to chose where to kill, what about you Ziel ? Do you think you deserve to be freed from your punishment ? Do you want it to be gone ?"

She thought about what he said." A man mindlessly fighting for a duty long gone and irrelevant. I suppose there is enough space in this world for one of those." She said, not believing a word he said.
"I only cam here for the pay, wether or not people here deserve help or not doesn't matter so long as I get what I want. I was given an advance, a good one at that so might as well do a good job." She said with drawing her blades back into her sleeves.
"Something tells me getting rid of Erin won't make me any better. And if what you say is true, I doubt I could even try to take him out." She sighed, remembering the way his eyes widened and the way he disappeared.

"my duty will only be gone when I'm dead and I don't care how relevant it is, it makes no difference to me." Gabriel watched as she retracted her blades, sheathing his sword after that, he was hoping she wasn't done fighting him, no man or woman had given him such exciting fight in a long time but he didn't want to start without a good reason to.
Gabriel though for a second, it couldn't just be coincidence bringing those two together it was a sign from Uriel, he knew what he would hunt next. The paladin looked at the woman dead in the eyes and spoke as serious as he could "This will be my only warning, I don't care if you'll feel better, I don't care if it'll make you feel worse, you pet monster will die by my hand, that is if it's not dead already for now, I say we work together to defeat the beast, you can keep the money, my prize will be ripping the things eye out of it's socket, what do you say." He extended his arm to shake her hand if she would accept the offer.

Ziel would have felt comforted by that if it wasn't for the fact that he was planning to kill the spirit of her long diseased friend." Let's see if you're any good then." She shook his hand, eyes blankly staring into his.
Suddenly she felt a presence again, she didn't even need to look back to know who it was." I guess he's back. Hi Erin." She mumbled, feeling his hands on her shoulders.
Erin was a young man, with a green tunic and black pants. A large gash could be seen in his chest, just deep enough to see the bone underneath. He looked even worse than before in her eyes.
The phantom didn't say anything. It just watched the two.
"I'm going to return to the mansion.above that hill. The family there was the one that hired me. They know the most about the situation it seems." She said, waving at him to follow her..

Gabriel's eyes moved to look behind the woman's shoulders than back to her eyes "In honor of our agreement I won't do anything to your pet spirit yet," he looked at the creature"but you're time is coming dog."
Gabriel made a motion with his hand "lead the way." And followed her, thinking of how he would eventually make the spirit scream, once at the entrance of the mansion he sighed "I hate rich people, haven't met a single one with an inch of honor on their bodies."

She decided to do some small talk with him, she MS ion was Terry close by, a 15 minute walk at most." Honor is just vanity. I decided that long ago when I met the most repulsive of people imaginable. Trust me, some people will take your honor and crush you with it."
They passed a few willow trees that where in bloom in the trail." I know that all too well." She said calmly.
"But I can't say your sentiment is wrong. These people hardly looked like they cared about what was happening, they where just looking out for their own." She admitted.
They where almost to the gates of the home. A few workers opened the gates for them to enter.

"I Know that honor alone won't take anyone far but I believe a man is nothing if his words can't be trusted, plus If anyone is willing to suffer a painful death they can try to crush me all they want, many tried already and I'm still here" Gabriel didn't seem like a good guy, in fact many would consider him a worst monster than the ones he hunted, his sense of honor was clearly twisted to fit his way of living.
Gabriel "Rich folk usually only think of themselves, the people on the village are just the same here, soon this place will become nothing more than a memory, soon poor will eat the rich, mark my words."
Once the gates were opened the paladin would go in staying beside Ziel.

Ziel didn't say anything to that. Instead she focused on the family standing outside. A short thin man and an equally short woman, where both chatting. They looked surprised to see Ziel alive.
"It got away, I'll get it in the morning. I'll kill it once I get my payment." She said simply, crossing her arms and looking at the man in the eyes. She was just barley taller than him.
"Um oh, my word you look tired. I'm sure you'd like to sleep at the inn. Well is suppose we do have some business we need to attend." He said, letting them inside hesitantly. It was clear he didn't want her there.
"Let's walk and talk then, I need a meal and I'll get out as soon as I'm done. " she glanced at Gabriel." Give this man a meal too."

Gabriel becane silent wishing for any disrespect out these the people, watching their every move, he didn't trust them and he was ready to put them on their place if necessary, until than he would let Ziel deal with them, after all, she was the one that made a deal with them and it was not his place to put himself in the middle of their discussion si walked with than and waited for the time to eat.

They where brought to a large dinner table, with a feast ready. Ziel raised her eyebrows, as did the phantom." You just had this ready? I'm impressed, thank you."
"Well, there is enough to go around too even for your friend." He said, sitting down. The phantom seemed to trail behind the man, moving from Ziel and following the man. It swirled around the table, before setting on a seat right next to Gabriel.
It whispered one thing." I hope you leave soon."
Ziel didn't pay any attention to it, instead grabbed a plate of noodles. The man looked at Gabriel." I assume you're also going for our bounty, yes?"

Gabriel pulled the chair where Erin had sat down and rested one of his arms on it, almost like he had his arm on the shoulder of a friend and winked at it. The paladin said "I don't come for riches, I'm only here to kill that thing, whatever rewards or any coin you would give to me, you will give it to her."
The paladin would wait until everyone else were eating before he would start as well, he had a big amount of food with him, he was a big person, over two meters tall and dwarfed the owners of the mansion, so he needed a big meal.
